Search a kanji to find every sentence that uses it (across Vocab and Grammar), then fix the reading for just that one sentence — this won't affect other sentences using the same kanji elsewhere. Some kanji (like 足) are genuinely ambiguous — 足りません (verb, "たり") vs 足 the noun "foot" ("あし") look identical to the furigana system, so per-sentence overrides are how you tell them apart.
